5 useful tips on how to be motivated to work harder

Staying excited and focused on your job can be hard. Lately, do you feel like you are not satisfied with the work you’ve done? Feeling stressed and overwhelmed? Well, sometimes, it is difficult to find the right motivation, which makes you need much more time to complete a task, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. Here at BUNKER we encounter such a situation constantly, and for so long we have been trying to find the perfect motivational solution to this problem. Here are five tips that will help keep you motivated to work harder.

Get motivated to work harder!

#1 Take breaks between work

Being too busy to even take a break is a sign that you need to slow down and press pause on everything. Step back for at least 15 minutes, go out, take a deep breath and remind yourself of your goals and priorities to make sure you’re giving your attention to the right tasks and projects. Taking a break doesn’t mean you are not working, it means you are preparing yourself to work MORE.

#2 Break up your tasks into smaller tasks/goals

If you have bigger tasks that require your 100% attention all the time, why not break them into smaller tasks? For example, you have a giant task turned out to be a project that you can break down further into individual milestones. You can use work management tools for that like Asana, Trello, etc. and check the tasks when you finish. Researches said that checking the tasks can help you boost your confidence, meaning you completed something and you can move on to the next one.

#3 Talk with your coworkers

If you ever feel overwhelmed with work and don’t have a single clue on what to do, why not ask a coworker for advice? Here at Bunker, we constantly try to encourage our coworkers to talk to each other and help with daily tasks. You will never know until you ask. Maybe your coworker has the best advice on how to increase your motivation and what worked best for them.

#4 Search for motivational material

The internet is full of motivational and inspirational articles, books and blogs. The new thing we like to to do is listen to podcasts. They are fun and educational. You can always find new daily work inspirations and productivity tips.

#5 Take care of yourself

The most important rule is to take care of yourself. We figured it out that sometimes the problem isn’t mental, but it’s physical. It is important for every working individual to get at least seven to nine hours of sleep, eat healthy meals, and try exercising. If your body is not feeling healthy and good, it can be really hard to stay motivated and give your best at work.
